Capacitor banks eliminate the need for your generator to create this unused power and only have to generate the power that is actually required.

What is power factor?
Power factor is the ratio of actual electrical power dissipated by a A.C component (motor) Conventual generators without power factor correction capabilities are being affected by A.C motors on your operation that are not running at peak output levels.

This in turn creates a scenario where your generator tries to compensate for this by creating more power which only compounds the efficiency issue.

Now you have a generator package that is not using 35% to 50% of the power its creating. Once a generator is coupled to a “Power Vault” this problem is eliminated through the Vaults programmer’s ability to identify these inefficiencies – correct them -thus unloading the draw placed on the unit.

Simply put, our “Power Vaults” are tuning your generator package to minimize that “Power Factor” ratio and utilize the power being created by your generator to its maximum efficiency.

Once the generator is tuned on this level you will start to see the benefits of reduced fuel consumption due to the fact the engine side of this component is not working as hard. This correlates to reduced maintenance and longer life spans on your generator.

Secondly you will now have the ability to run more electrical based equipment on the same generator platform. In the case of new plant builds you can even spec your operation with a smaller generator platform which will dramatically compound your fuel savings & maintenance costs.





Capacitor banks have allowed some customers to down size their generators from 2 Megawatts to 1.5 Megawatts on each crushing plant, others have added a second cone and feed line to their plants without increasing the size of their existing generator. One customer increased their production 15% by being able to run their equipment at maximum amperage. After the installation of capacitor banks on all their crushing plants, a customer’s report shows that generator fuel consumption is down 22%.
